| After 4 years without MAD in Germany the demand must have been terrific! So the Dino folks stepped in with a snappy update for the new generation. This edition was taken over by Panini and is still being published. This cover is not a copy of any specific US cover. It uses a stock drawing of Alfred E. Neuman on a simple blue background. | |||||||||
| Greece First Series - July 1979 | |

| This first series of MAD in Greece managed to last at least 5 years. It was kicked off with this locally produced cover drawn by a local Greek artist. | |||||||||

Greece Second Series - July 1996 |

| This second series used mostly American material and covers. It ran for 25 issues. This cover is an altered version of American MAD # 340 from October 1995. | |||||||||
| Hungary "MAD " Edition - 1997 | |

| Publication of MAD in Hungary was part of an interesting arrangement. During the publication of "MAD" the publisher also published a humor magazine called "Kreten" (see next entry) which contained material from MAD and used the "MAD" logo. The publisher would publish MAD one month and Kreten the next. The MAD edition rasn for 30 issues and stopped at the end of 2001. | |||||||||

| Each of these "Kretin" magazines carry a small copy of the "MAD" logo and, usually, a picture of Alfred E Neuman. It was printed side-by-side with the Hungarian MAD. This edition is still published. What is the story here? | |||||||||
| Iceland - May 1987 | |

| This was the shortest run of any MAD at only 6 issues (maybe?). But, they were thick issues for reading during those long Icelandic nights! This cover appeared only in Iceland. | |||||||||
